It is with great sadness that the family of Walter “Walt” Ray Bowser, Sr. announce his passing on February 5, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. He was 75 years old.
Walt will be lovingly remembered by his children, Michael, Walter, Robert, Sarah; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers Bill Bowser, David Wentlandt; sisters Pat Threadgill, Arlene Bowser; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Walt was predeceased by his parents, Ray Bowser, Evelyn Jane Wentlandt, and granddaughter Elizabeth Amber Bowser.
Walt was born in Altoona, PA, but lived most of his life in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He graduated from Hightstown High School and worked for Princeton Nurseries for many years, where he gained his extensive knowledge of trees. He had a love of the outdoors, where he enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. Most will remember that he had an open door for any family member or friend in need. In his later years, he moved to Cold Spring, KY, to be near his family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cold Spring Rehabilitation Center for their care of Walt.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
