Steve was a very good friend that I was blessed to know since I was a little kid. Ever since I met him, he was like an uncle to me. I remember going out to he and Debbie’s house: working on things with them, listening to their stories and life lessons, and always feeling welcome.

I learned a lot from Steve, and he always made sure I was included. Every time he’d call Dad and ask if he’d like to meet for lunch or come work on something, he said “Bring Zach too, if he wants to come!”.

Whenever we were done working on something, whatever it was, we’d sit out on the back deck and Steve would tell stories: cars he worked on, Jeeps he raced, wheelies he did (in Jeeps), taking on Hemis in his Corvette, etc.

Steve was, by far, one of my favorite people I’ve ever met. One of the smartest and most interesting too.

    He will be very missed.
