Jerome (Jer) Welscher, 81, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Wednesday October 21, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Ft. Thomas, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose (Boberg) after 55 years of marriage and his parents, Harry and Lillian (Douba) Welscher. Jer is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Mick) O’Connor, Kristin (Darren Recker) Welscher, and son, David (Gina) Welscher, seven grandchildren: Sam, Emma, Jack and Grace O’Connor, Adam Meyer, Lily and Lydia Welscher. Also survived by several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
After serving in the Navy on the USS Everglades, Jer joined Travelers Insurance Co. and subsequently Ohio Casualty Co. He had a passion for sports, reading and Absolute.
Due to COVID, no memorial events are currently scheduled. Memorials are suggested to Newport Central Catholic High School in memory of his time as a student, athlete and Hall of Famer.
