Garry L. McCabe, a beloved son, brother, companion, family member and friend, passed away peacefully on the 13th of July 2026 in Cincinnati. Born to Alberta I. McCabe and Gary McCabe on the 2nd of December 1966, Garry’s life was one of kindness, compassion, laughter, and a love for music and technology.
Garry was preceded in death by his loving parents, Alberta and Gary McCabe, his cherished grandparents, Virginia and Garl McCabe, Albert Mason, and his caring uncle, Billy Mason. His presence will be dearly missed by his surviving family, his sister, Ginny McCabe, his uncle, Gene (Pam) McCabe, and Sherrii Courisky, his longtime partner.
Garry was a beacon of care, compassion, and kindness, often putting the needs of others before his own. A lover of laughter, he could light up any room with his humor, quick wit, and infectious laugh. His love for music found expression through his skilled guitar-playing, often filling their home with familiar melodies to loud jam sessions with Eddie.
A master of video games, Garry enjoyed Xbox and PlayStation, often ranking in the top players. His love for animals was embodied in his affection for their loyal dog, Milo, and he extended this love to all creatures big and small.
A man of many hobbies, his days were filled with the rumble of car engines, the flicker of movie screens, and the glitter of Hot Wheel collectibles. Garry was blessed with a mechanical mind, always ready to lend a hand in fixing things around the house.
His December birthday was always a joyous occasion, celebrated in tandem with a family member whose birthday fell just a day before his own. His fondness for family gatherings and special occasions was a testament to his appreciative and loving spirit.
Garry was a generous, caring, compassionate, kind, and funny man who left an indelible imprint on the hearts of all who knew him. His love for life and the simple joys it brought will forever be remembered and cherished.
In honor of Garry’s life, a private service will be held for family and friends. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him, a reminder of the love, laughter, and kindness he brought into their lives.
Garry, you will be missed, but your spirit, your love, and your music will continue to echo through our lives. We were blessed to have known you, and we will carry your memory with us always.
