Marion D. (Watson) Winkler (née Lee) died peacefully in Sunman, Indiana on August 8, 2016 at the age of 81.
Marion was born on September 24, 1934 in Cincinnati OH to Ivan and Mamie Lee. The majority of her working career was spent in the Information Systems Departments of Good Samaritan Hospital and General Electric. Marion was very proud to be a member of the Mt. Washington, Ohio Chapter of the American Legion where she held the office of Chaplain. She enjoyed traveling and loved to spend her spare time gardening.
Marion is preceded in death by her first husband Ben Watson of Foster, KY and her second husband Harold Winkler of Newtown, OH and her siblings Bessie (William) Cottman of Cincinnati, OH, Fairy Bell (Charles) Cecil of Cincinnati OH and Harry (Mary) Lee of Kansas.
She is survived by her children Diana (Peter) Pasquale of Crossville TN, Ben (Pat) Jeffery Watson of New Port Richey FL, Barry (Patti) Watson of California KY, Janet (Tony) Batta of Sunman IN and Darren (Ginny) Watson of California KY. She is also survived by her brother Walter (Terri) Croswait of Amelia OH.
Marion was the adoring grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 6 and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
A service is scheduled for Saturday Aug. 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Church Cathedral, located at 318 E. Fourth Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202, with a reception to follow in the lower level of the church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marion’s life.
Donations can be made in Marion’s name to Home Health and Hospice at Margaret Mary Community Hospital, 321 Mitchell Ave., Batesville, IN 47006 or to Christ Church Cathedral, 318 E Fourth St., Cincinnati, OH 45202.
